Oakland, CA - May 23, 2020
U.S. Futsal is announcing that it will cancel its 35th U.S. Futsal National Championship that was scheduled to be hosted at the Atlantic City Convention Center, on July 9-12, 2020. This decision has stemmed from the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic, has and continues to affect all our futsal states. Since our first priority is the health and safety of everyone, specially our players, families, coaches, referees, volunteers and dedicated staff. While we realize this will be a great disappointment to all and we realize some restrictions on assembly are lifted, we can’t foresee what the upcoming six weeks will mean for events with several thousand people in an enclosed area. U.S. Futsal has placed the safety of all concerned as or guiding factor behind our decision.

As of today, U.S. Futsal has decided to postpone or cancel a number of scheduled
events through April 30. This includes, but is not limited to, all Regional
Championships, all National Select Team programming and travel, all Coaching
Education and Referee courses, and all Talent Identification Programs.
We recognize that these decisions have a real impact on you and your own
programming, but in the interest of ensuring the health and safety of the Futsal
community, as well as that of the community at-large, we also recommend that
members review your own programming schedule and assess the risks and benefits of
postponement and/or cancellation of your upcoming events.
In closing, we strongly recommend that you follow the advice and direction of your local

NJ YOUTH SOCCER AND UNITED STATES FUTSAL ANNOUNCE EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP
East Windsor, N.J. (Sept. 30, 2019) ― New Jersey Youth Soccer announced today that it has entered into a partnership with United States Futsal, the governing body for Futsal in the United States. United States Futsal (USFF) has been governing the sport of Futsal in the United States since 1981.
“Futsal is the official indoor soccer game of FIFA and is one of the most popular soccer variations throughout the world and NJ Youth Soccer is excited to offer this programming to our member,” said Evelyn Gill, NJ Youth Soccer President. “Futsal’s unique rules and playing characteristics will complement the development of our players, and provide our membership with new opportunities that can easily be accessed as it requires little infrastructure.”

U.S. Futsal Mens Open Team Heads To China For 2019 IFA Futsal World Cup
U.S. Futsal is pleased to announce that the United States is sending a team to Jiangmen, China, August 19-26th to compete in the International Futsal Alliance Futsal World Cup.
United States Futsal Federation has been sending teams to compete in high level world futsal competitions since 1984.
More than half of players on this team have already represented the United States for both US Futsal and US Soccer’s futsal team in International competitions.
The U.S. Futsal Men’s Open team is being coached by Vava Marques. For 18 years Vava has been the assistant coach with US Soccer’s futsal program.

PACIFIC RIM FUTSAL CUP 2019
The Pacific Rim Futsal Cup 2019 will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii from November 29th to December 1st.
U.S. Futsal will host the event at the Hawaii Convention Center.
The tournament will see several National Men's and Women's teams, along with junior national, state and regional teams come together.
Applications must be received by Oct 1st 2019.
The tournament entry fee is US$600 and a team must stay at the designated Ala Moana Hotel to participate.
